Three-Phase Power Formula
Three-phase power calculations use the same voltage, current, and power factor relationship as single-phase circuits, scaled by √3 to account for the three conductors' phase relationship.
Formula
P = √3 × V × I × PF
- P
- Real power, in watts
- V
- Line-to-line voltage, in volts
- I
- Line current, in amps
- PF
- Power factor, between 0 and 1
